Bumrah Returns from Injury to Lead India in T20 Series against Ireland

India’s pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, is set to make a comeback after a lengthy injury absence and will captain the side in the upcoming Twenty20 series against Ireland, as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday.

The 29-year-old right-arm seamer has been out of international cricket since last September, undergoing rehabilitation following a back surgery in March.

Bumrah was also absent during last year’s T20 World Cup in Australia and the Indian Premier League.

India is scheduled to play three T20 matches against Ireland, with the series commencing on August 18.
